California Central Coast Estate Planning Council Membership Information
Voting Membership Qualifications:
Voting membership in the Council is available to individuals licensed or otherwise certified by a licensing or certifying authority to practice in any of the following Professions:
- Attorney
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA)
- Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU)
- Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC)
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP)
- California Licensed Professional Fiduciary (CLPF)
- Elder Services
- Trust or Bank Officer
- Members of the California Central Coast Philanthropic Community
- Other professionals in fields related to estate planning as approved by the CCCEPC Board of Directors
Non-Voting Membership Qualifications:
Non-Voting Membership in the Council is available to individuals in professions related to estate planning that do not otherwise meet the qualifications of Voting Membership. Non-Voting Membership is evaluated and approved on a case-by-case basis by the CCCEPC Board of Directors.
Active Practice Requirement:
Any individual applying for Voting Membership in the Council must have been actively practicing in the estate planning field for the last 5 years.
Dues:
- Voting Membership dues are $240 per year. If membership is applied for between July 1 and December 31, the initial dues are $120.
- Non-Voting Membership dues are $200 per year. If membership is applied for between July 1 and December 31, the initial dues are $100.
Application Process:
After attending two (2) membership meetings, applicants must have two (2) Voting Members sponsor their application. All applications are reviewed and approved by the CCCEPC Board of Directors.

California Central Coast Estate Planning Council is affiliated with the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils and joining can fulfill the requirement of belonging to an affiliated local estate planning council to become an Accredited Estate Planner® (AEP®) designee. Please contact the national office at 866-226-2224 to learn more about the Accredited Estate Planner® designation.
